About the Program

"We believe that these performances will open the hearts of the people of New York and will help to shift the conversation about arts education in this country. We want the New York community (especially young people) to have the life changing experience of hearing some of the greatest music, such as Mahler's First Symphony, Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and Tchaikovsky’s Fifth, performed by an extraordinary young orchestra in the most prestigious concert hall in the world…for free! We want to show that everybody can be moved by classical music."
