Crescendo MUSIC EDUCATION

Every week, BPO Teaching Fellows support music programs providing classroom assistance, ensemble coaching, and one-on-one instrumental instruction to students throughout the Boston area. BPO Teaching Fellows are professional musicians who possess a high level of musical virtuosity, as well as a deep passion for education and civic engagement. CME programs and services empower students to become creative decision-makers, and provide critical support to music teachers and school staff.

Impact

Students without access to in-school music receive weekly music education that aligns with BPS and statewide music learning standards.

Classroom Concerts

An integral part of our Crescendo Classroom program, the BPO brings professional-quality musical performances to our partner schools. These interactive events bring students’ musical learning to life and empower them through direct involvement in musical activities.

Crescendo teaching fellows perform at Guild Elementary and at Children's Services of Roxbury in the Spring and Summer of 2023.
