AGE LIMITS & Children at Concerts:
Children in attendance must be at least five years old and we recommend that children in attendance be eight years old. Most of our concerts feature musical works that are 30+ minutes in length without pause. Children, regardless of age, must be prepared to sit still and remain quiet throughout the performance.

Discount Tickets:
- Regular discounts are offered for:
- Students with current ID. $12 student tickets are good for advance sale in the 2 lowest pricing levels: C and D priced tickets or seats colored in either green or gold on the seating chart. Use code: STU-DIS
- Young adults ages 18-40 pay only $30.00 for Boston Philharmonic concerts on B-level (normally $90) seats, or C-level (normally $60). Young adults pay only $30.00 for Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra concerts on B-Level (normally $45) seats. This discount is only available for advance sale through the Boston Philharmonic box office until the day before a concert. Use code: 40-30

Email Tickets or Print at Home Tickets:
- Email tickets arrive at the ticket buyer's provided email address as a PDF attachment.
- The PDF contains one sheet per ticket ordered.
- Email or print-at-home ticket buyers must either print their PDFs and bring them to the concert to present to ticket takers and ushers as you would with a standard ticket, or download the PDFs to your phone to show to the ushers. The confirmation email alone will not allow you access.
- If you do not receive your email within a few minutes of placing your order, check your email's promotions, social, and spam folders. If your email with the PDF tickets is not there, contact the box office at 617.236.0999 or boxoffice@bostonphil.org.
FLASH SALES:
Flash sales happen throughout the season, sometimes in conjunction with a holiday. We announce them on our email list and over social media. These offers cannot be combined with any other offers and are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. The flash sale discount only applies to the date or dates listed for the sale. Flash sales prices cannot be applied to past purchases.
Fees:
- All subscriptions are subject to a $6 per subscription service fee.
- Single tickets are subject to a $3 per ticket service fee.

- Student groups including chaperones can purchase the student group rate tickets at $12.00 per person.

The Boston Philharmonic Offices are closed for holidays including the following:

What are my ticket options if a concert is canceled or rescheduled due to the Coronavirus?
- Donate your ticket. As a nonprofit arts organization, the Boston Philharmonic relies on the audience we serve. By donating your tickets in lieu of a refund, you are providing vital support for the music and musicians that inspire our community. Please consider donating your tickets back to the Boston Philharmonic and receive a donation receipt by contacting 617.236.0999.
- Put tickets on account -like a gift certificate. Hold your tickets on your account. Contact the Box Office at 617.236.0999 and we will put your funds on account as a gift certificate to use toward another performance this season.
- Request a refund. Generally, our policy is no refunds. In the event of a cancellation, we will issue refunds if requested. Contact the Box Office at 617.236.0999.
Rush Tickets:
- Rush tickets are $12.00 each (plus applicable fees) sold when available starting 1 to 1.5 hours at the venue box office before the start of a concert.
- We cannot guarantee the availability of rush tickets.
- Rush tickets are available to seniors and students with valid student IDs.
Ship/Mailed Tickets:
- Tickets for upcoming concerts are mailed every Friday.

Stage extension:
- All Boston Philharmonic and Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra concerts make use of a stage extension.
- In Symphony Hall this makes row E the first row directly in front of the stage unless indicated differently on the concert page.
- View Symphony Hall Seat Map to see where the extension overlaps and where any viewer obstructions are located before you choose your seats.
Student Tickets:
Student tickets are $12.00 (+applicable fees). Student tickets may be purchased in advance through the Boston Philharmonic box office or through the Symphony Hall box office. Student prices are $12.00 with proof of student ID. $12 tickets are good for advance sale in the 2 lowest pricing levels: C and D priced tickets or seats colored in green or gold on the seating chart.
Subscription Tickets:
- Subscription tickets for the 2024-2025 season will be mailed in September.
- There are no guarantees on subscriber seats. If a subscriber has preferred seating they can request it with the box office at 617.236.0999 or email:boxoffice@bostonphil.org. Seat preferences are fulfilled based on subscription level and availability.
Subscriber Exchange Policy:
- The ticket exchange is an exclusive benefit for subscribers.
- All exchanges are subject to ticket availability.
- To exchange, you must pay the difference in price, if applicable.
- Ticket exchanges must be completed by noon the business day prior to a concert (i.e., Wednesday at 12:00 pm before a Thursday concert, Friday at 12:00 pm before a Saturday or Sunday concert).
- Exchanges may be made via phone, mail, or fax. New tickets will be mailed unless it is too close to the concert date, in which case tickets will be held at Will Call.
- Exchange by phone: 617.236.0999. After you have made your exchange, please remember to discard your old tickets to avoid double seating. Once your exchange is processed, your original seats will be released for sale to the public.
Virtual Events:
- Livestream events take place on a set date at a set time exactly like in-person events.
- Our virtual events are viewable on computers, smartphones, and tablets.
- You will receive a confirmation email once you purchase access to a Livestream event. To access the event link, press the magenta-colored, rectangular button in your confirmation email.
- If you do not receive a confirmation email after purchase, contact the box office at boxoffice@bostonphil.org or call 617.236.0999.
- If you need technical support to view one of our Livestream or OnDemand events visit: https://www.bostonphil.org/concerts/virtual-event-support.
- If you need support help on the day of the concert please email the box office at boxoffice@bostonphil.org. Don't attempt to call the box office for support during the performance. The Boston Philharmonic staff will be at the event handling the live performance and will be unable to answer the office phone. However, a staff member will monitor this email: boxoffice@bostonphil.org, and we will attempt to assist you as quickly as possible.
Will Call:
Tickets placed at Will Call will be held under the name of the ticket buyer and:
- Held at the box office for Symphony Hall concerts.
- Held at the Will Call table in the lobby for Sanders Theatre and Jordan Hall concerts.
