Discount Tickets:

  • Regular discounts are offered for: 
    • Students with current ID,
    • Members of Massachusetts Teachers Association
    • Members of WGBH (check your member newsletter or  the members section of the WGBH website)
    • Members of WBUR (check your member newsletter or check the members section of WBUR's website).

  • MCC Card to Culture program for WICC and EBT card holders: 100% off regular ticket prices, limited to 4 tickets per EBT cardholder per event; additional tickets available at 50% discount by calling the box office.

E Tickets or Print at Home Tickets:

  • Email tickets arrive to the ticket buyer's provided email address as a PDF attachment.
  • The PDF contains one sheet per ticket ordered.
  • Email or print-at-home ticket buyers must print their PDFs and bring it to the concert to present to ticket takers and ushers as you would with a standard ticket.
  • If you do not receive your email within a few minutes of placing your order, check your email's promotions, social, and spam folders. If your email with the PDF tickets is not there, contact the box office at 617.236.0999 or email

Covid-19 Concert Policies

  • Patrons attending concerts, concert staff, and volunteers must show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test along with an ID.
    • A negative COVID-19 test must either be a PCR test taken within the last 72 hours or an antigen test taken within the last 24 hours.
    • Proof of vaccination can be showing a vaccine card or a clear digital photograph of the vaccine card.
  • While indoors at Symphony Hall everyone must wear a CDC-approved mask that covers their nose and mouth regardless of vaccination status.


  • All subscriptions are subject to a $6 per subscription service fee.
  • Single tickets are subject to a $3 per ticket service fee.

  • Gift Certificates are available for purchase! Please contact the Boston Philharmonic box office at 617.236.0999 or email to place a gift certificate order.
  • To redeem your gift certificate, you must call the box office at 617.236.0999.

What are my ticket options if a concert is canceled or rescheduled due to the Coronavirus?

  • Donate your ticket. As a nonprofit arts organization, the Boston Philharmonic relies on the audience we serve. By donating your tickets in lieu of a refund, you are providing vital support for the music and musicians that inspire our community. Please consider donating your tickets back to the Boston Philharmonic and receive a donation receipt by contacting 617.236.0999.
  • Put tickets on account -as a gift certificate. Hold your tickets on your account. Contact the Box Office at  617.236.0999 and we will  put your funds on account as a gift certificate to use toward another performance this season.
  • Request a refund. Generally our policy is no refunds. In the event of a cancellation we will issue refunds if requested. Contact the Box Office at 617.236.0999.

Rush Tickets:

  • Rush tickets are sold when available starting 1 to 1.5 hours at the venue box office before the start of a concert.
  • We cannot guarantee the availability of rush tickets.
  • Rush tickets are available to seniors and students with a valid student ID.

Ship/Mailed Tickets:

  • Tickets for upcoming concerts are mailed every Friday.
  • If you have not received your ticket order before the day of the concert please contact the Boston Philharmonic box office at 617.236.0999 or email

Subscription Tickets:

  • Subscription tickets for the 2021-2022 season will be mailed in September.
  • There are no guarantees on subscriber seats. If a subscriber has preferred seating they can make a request with the box office. Seat preferences are fulfilled based on subscription level and availability.

Subscriber Exchange Policy:

  • Ticket exchange is an exclusive benefit for subscribers.
  • All exchanges are subject to ticket availability.
  • To exchange, you must pay the difference in price, if applicable.
  • Ticket exchanges must be completed by noon the business day prior to a concert (i.e., Wednesday at 12:00 pm before a Thursday concert, Friday at 12:00 pm before a Saturday or Sunday concert).
  • Exchanges may be made via phone, mail or fax. New tickets will be mailed unless it is too close to the concert date, in which case tickets will be held at Will Call.
  • Exchange by phone: 617.236.0999. After you have made your exchange, please remember to discard your old tickets to avoid double seating. Once your exchange is processed, your original seats will be released for sale to the public.

Virtual Events:

  • Livestream events take place on a set date at a set time exactly like in person events.
  • Our virtual events are viewable on computers, smartphones, and tablets.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once you purchase access to a livestream event. To access the event link press the magenta colored button in your confirmation email.

Will Call:

Tickets placed at Will Call will be held under the name of the ticket buyer and :

  • Held at the box office for Symphony Hall concerts.
  • Held at the Will Call table in the lobby for Sanders Theatre and Jordan Hall concerts.
