Violinist, composer, and conductor Guy Braunstein returns for the Boston Philharmonic's final season to perform a piece that most violinists regard as the pinnacle of their repertory: Beethoven’s sole and sublime, Violin Concerto in D.
The Brahms Fourth Symphony marks the climax of his entire compositional life, and it is for this reason that we have been drawn back to it so often—this is our seventh performance in Boston, over the past 50 years.
