Audition for the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra

Auditions:

These auditions will be for the following positions:

• UNION
  • • You must be in good standing with the Boston Musicians' Union (AFM Local 9-535).
    • Union musicians will be auditioning for our SUB LIST only.

• STUDENT
  
  • • You must be enrolled in a Boston area undergraduate program, or
    • a graduate program, or
    • have graduated within (2) years from such a program.
    • Students will be auditioning for a role in the orchestra and a position on our SUB LIST.
    • Musicians auditioning for a student position must not be a current member of any AFM local.

• VOLUNTEER
  • • You must have a passionate love for classical music!
    • Volunteers will be auditioning for a place in our orchestra and on our SUB LIST. Volunteer players will only need to prepare the solo works.
    • Musicians auditioning for a volunteer position must not be a current member of any AFM local.
    • Must have at least two years of orchestra experience.

PLEASE PREPARE ALL PARTS AS NOTED BELOW AND BRING SEVERAL COPIES OF YOUR RESUME TO YOUR AUDITION FOR THE COMMITTEE.

ALL AUDITIONS WILL BE VIDEO RECORDED.

NOTE: We do not currently have any openings for winds and brass
