Alex is Lead Builder (Partner) for Global Programs and Coordination at Liminal, a venture creation group backed by Singaporean sovereign wealth fund Temasek. His team is responsible for all global programs and coordination for the firm. In addition, he works with the founders that the group co-creates ventures with.

 

Alex’s background spans serving as a senior executive for large, public companies such as Textron, to starting small, two-person startup companies, and everything in between. He is a co-founder of Terrafugia, which was an early entrant in the “flying car” space. He also owned and ran an admissions consulting firm before growing and selling the firm. Functionally, he has mostly served in business development, sales, strategy, operations, finance, and program management roles. After college, Alex served on active duty for a decade as a United States Marine Corps combat pilot and staff Officer before transitioning to civilian life. He serves on several non-profit boards in education.

 

Outside of work, Alex likes to spend time with his daughter Clara, son Arno, and wife Sang-Jeong. Clara is a cellist with the BPYO. Alex is a volunteer mentor and class agent with Phillips Academy, MIT, and MIT Sloan. Alex holds an S.B. in Art & Design from MIT and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
