Richard Rivale is a pianist from Anaheim, California. From his interest in all classical genres and ensembles, his performances have extended to many orchestral keyboard instruments, like the organ and harpsichord. Throughout his years of playing in orchestra, he has performed with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and other orchestras under David Robertson and Leonard Slatkin. Along with playing the violin and viola, he has also conducted new music premieres. His festival experiences have included being staff pianist at the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival and fellow at the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Richard has studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, The Juilliard School, and is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in Collaborative Piano at Boston University.
