Because her mom was a concert pianist Kris has always been surrounded with music. In her early years, she briefly played violin. This was followed by piano lessons and then she finally settled on the clarinet.
Her interest as a music librarian began at Wellesley High School where she assisted the director for both bands and the orchestra. A number of years later, she began her career as the music librarian at Boston University’s School of Music.
When not working, she enjoys her family, gardening, travelling, fishing and of course, going to cultural events (concerts, operas, theater productions).
