The Boston Philharmonic Orchestra is comprised of professional, non-union and student musicians. The number of musicians for each concert typically ranges from 80 to over 100. Many of our musicians have been playing with the BPO for numerous years, and a few have been members since the inaugural season more than 30 years ago. We have not yet collected biographies from all of our wonderful players, but we do have quite a bit of great information we would like to share with our audiences.
Below you will find biographies and interviews from a handful of our players, sorted first by section and then by last name. When a list of players for an upcoming concert cycle is announced, we will post it. If you are a musician with the Boston Philharmonic, we would greatly appreciate your participation; please send your biography and headshot to Jeffrey Filiault at firstname.lastname@example.org.
