During the last 20 years, in my volunteer and charitable work, I have concentrated my efforts with passion and personal satisfaction on expansion and creation of new audiences for Classical Music and Opera, improvement of the quality of education available to youth in the arts, and fund raising through arts events for Charter Schools providing breakout opportunities for disadvantaged Boston inner city children.
Boston Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) 1997- Present, Board of Directors, Past Chair Strategic Planning, Marketing Committees, Chair of Annual Fund Raising Galas 2005 and 2006, Co-founder with Conductor Benjamin Zander of the Thursday Discovery Concert Series initially funded by the Bose Corporation. Founder and Chair of theBPO pre-concert gala opening night Discovery Concert fund raising dinner events at Rialto Restaurant with Celebrity Chef Jody Adams which have raised funds in excess of $100,000 for Charter Schools serving children in underprivileged and disadvantaged areas of Boston while introducing more than 1000 new patrons to the BPO.
