Cindy Lewiton Jackson is Director of Professional Development at Foley Hoag LLP, a leading law firm representing public and private clients in a wide range of disputes and transactions worldwide.  Cindy created, implemented and now manages a comprehensive professional development organization for the firm’s lawyers and professional staff.  She directs strategic planning, programs and processes for attorney career advancement and skill development, and oversees training, mentoring, coaching, leadership development and performance management for attorneys at all levels.  She is also a member of the firm’s Associates Review Committee.

Cindy brings over 30 years experience in the fields of career and professional development. As Global Director of Career Development & Alumni Relations at Bain & Company, Cindy built, launched and managed worldwide organizations that created and drove initiatives for the firm’s alumni and consulting staff in 36 offices across 23 countries. Formerly, she was a career consultant with Drake Beam Morin, principal of her own coaching and development practice, and also held positions in legal administration at Hale & Dorr (now WilmerHale) and Nutter McClennen & Fish. Prior to that, Cindy was a clinical social worker at the Beth Israel Hospital (now Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center).

Cindy is a magna cum laude graduate of Tufts University, and holds an M.S.W. from Washington University in St. Louis. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Professional Development Consortium, and on the Advisory Board of the Talent Management Boardroom; is a member of the National Association for Law Placement/Legal Career Professionals, and the Association of Career Professionals International; and is also active in several community endeavors.
