School Groups
If you are a teacher or school administrator looking for a field trip opportunity, consider the Boston Philharmonic! Each season, hundreds of school-aged students attend Boston Philharmonic concerts. It's a great opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge about classical music in a true concert setting.
Here's what some schools and students have said:
“This was my first time at an orchestral event. I did not know what to expect going in, but I was blown away by how amazing the orchestra was. It was an amazing experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything.”
—Matthew, Middlesex School
“Mr. Zander’s exuberance in his explanations of each piece brought the entire experience alive.”
–Michael, Middlesex School
“What a great educational opportunity, to be able to have Ben bring the music to life first with his explanations, then with his and the orchestra’s moving performances.”
—Mark Kross, Music Teacher, Middlesex School
Thanks to the following schools for attending:
Berklee College of Music
Bryant University
Groton School
Longy School of Music
Metrowest Youth Symphony Orchestra
Middlesex School
Harvard Business School
Harvard Kennedy School

Please note that the Boston Philharmonic does not offer separate, daytime school shows. Instead, school groups attend the regular Thursday evening or weekend concerts at a heavily discounted rate.
