Hometown:  Manheim, PA

Year joined the BPO: 1989 as a student

Hobbies other than music: Running, Biking, Hiking and hanging out with my wife and our three big dogs

Earliest musical memory: Dad’s record collection was a source of constant fascination. First records I remember are Van Cliburn playing Rachmaninoff 2 with Fritz Reiner (the first recording I bought on CD!) and the soundtracks to Sound of Music and Bambi.

What's on your iPod? Aside from my extensive classical collection, lots of jazz, 70’s rock and country.

Other than performing music, I've always thought it would be fun to be a: Diplomat.

Who is one person from musical history (living or deceased) you'd like to have dinner with, and why? Thomas Jefferson – aside from his inside knowledge of American History, his incredibly broad knowledge of everything!

Funniest concert experience: In the middle of a performance of Die Walkure filled with cuts, the conductor stops conducting, looks up to the orchestra and whispers “Where are we?!”
